Una Digitalización Estratégica y su Impacto en el Rendimiento de las PYMEs en Brasil: Un Análisis Cuantitativo

Resumen

"El objetivo principal es analizar la relación entre la transformación digital y el rendimiento de las MSMEs brasileñas. Se realizó una revisión de la literatura para identificar los factores relacionados con la adopción de la digitalización que determinan el rendimiento. Para ello, se utilizó un enfoque cuantitativo, aplicando Análisis de Factores Exploratorios (EFA) y Regresión Lineal Múltiple a una muestra de 987 MSMEs brasileñas. Los resultados muestran una relación positiva significativa entre la digitalización y el rendimiento organizacional, confirmando la hipótesis de que la transformación digital contribuye a la mejora del rendimiento de las MSMEs. Sin embargo, se identificó que la presencia de gerentes con títulos de educación superior y aquellos responsables de la Tecnología de la Información y Comunicación (TIC) tiene una correlación negativa con el rendimiento, sugiriendo que la efectividad de la digitalización depende de factores contextuales específicos. Las implicaciones de este estudio son relevantes tanto para los gerentes como para los responsables de políticas que buscan promover la digitalización de las MSMEs en Brasil y en todo el mundo.

Máster en Economía por la Universidad de la Amazonia (2003) y Doctor en Economía Aplicada por la Universidad Federal de Viçosa (2007). Actualmente es profesor titular en la Universidad de la Amazonia. Es profesor permanente en el Programa de Posgrado en Administración (PPAD) en UNAMA. Desarrolla investigaciones en el área de gestión estratégica, con énfasis en la teoría basada en recursos y sus derivaciones. Investigador en el Centro de Estudios, Investigación y Proyectos Estratégicos en Gobernanza Pública de la Escuela de Gobernanza Pública del Estado de Pará (CEPPE/EGPA), con estudios en el área de evaluación de políticas públicas y gestión estratégica en el sector público. Líder del Grupo de Investigación del Centro de Estudios sobre Prácticas de Gestión, Desempeño y Competitividad de Organizaciones Amazónicas (NEGOA), en el cual desarrolla investigaciones relacionadas con prácticas de gestión y desempeño de hoteles, restaurantes y otros establecimientos en la cadena de hospitalidad. También investiga relaciones entre empresas en la cadena de suministro de productos agrícolas y extractivos en la Amazonía. Desarrolla investigaciones con comunidades tradicionales en la Amazonía investigando aspectos socioeconómicos, ambientales y ecológicos que potencian la participación de los residentes de estas comunidades en proyectos REDD+ propuestos por empresas del sector agrícola.
