Investigación sobre la Industria 4.0 en economías emergentes: una comparación bibliométrica entre Brasil y el contexto global

Objetivo: Este estudio tiene como objetivo mapear y analizar el panorama de la investigación sobre Industria 4.0 en Brasil, comparándolo con los países líderes, con el fin de identificar tendencias dominantes, brechas de investigación y la posición y las contribuciones potenciales de Brasil a la base global de conocimiento. Métodos: Se adoptó un enfoque bibliométrico basado en publicaciones científicas indexadas en la base de datos Scopus. Se aplicaron técnicas de minería de texto y análisis de redes mediante el software VOSviewer para examinar el crecimiento de publicaciones, los patrones de colaboración en coautoría y los clústeres temáticos. Se realizaron análisis comparativos entre Brasil y los países líderes para identificar convergencias y divergencias en el enfoque investigativo a lo largo del tiempo. Resultados: Los hallazgos indican un fuerte crecimiento global de la investigación sobre Industria 4.0, mientras que Brasil exhibe una expansión comparativamente más lenta. Las publicaciones brasileñas se alinean en gran medida con los temas de investigación internacionales, particularmente los relacionados con el Internet de las Cosas (IoT), Big Data y aprendizaje automático. Sin embargo, los estudios brasileños muestran un énfasis distintivo en aplicaciones orientadas a la eficiencia operativa y la sostenibilidad. Conclusiones: El estudio concluye que, aunque Brasil sigue las tendencias globales de investigación sobre Industria 4.0, persisten diferencias en la escala y el ritmo de la producción científica. Los resultados destacan oportunidades para fortalecer la posición de Brasil mediante una mayor inversión en investigación y desarrollo y una colaboración internacional ampliada. Estas perspectivas son relevantes para investigadores, responsables de políticas y profesionales de la industria que buscan promover acciones estratégicas que mejoren el impacto y la integración global de la investigación brasileña sobre Industria 4.0.
