Compromiso afectivo en estudiantes emprendedores: el efecto de los factores del entorno

Resumen

La investigación sobre cómo el compromiso afectivo en los emprendedores se encuentra afectada el contexto es limitada, a pesar de la relevancia que tiene este comportamiento emprendedor en los resultados de la empresa. Para abordar esta brecha de conocimiento, presentamos un marco teórico para respaldar nuestras hipótesis y utilizamos un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales para probarlas. Analizamos los efectos del ambiente universitario, los antecedentes familiares empresariales y las normas subjetivas en el compromiso afectivo de los estudiantes emprendedores utilizando datos de la Encuesta Global de Espíritu Emprendedor Universitario de 2018 (GUESSS). Nuestros resultados indican un efecto directo positivo del ambiente universitario y las normas subjetivas en el compromiso afectivo. Además, las normas subjetivas median las relaciones entre el ambiente universitario y los antecedentes familiares y el compromiso afectivo, y el efecto de influencia total de los antecedentes familiar y el entorno universitario en el compromiso afectivo resultó ser estadísticamente significativo de acuerdo con el análisis de bootstrapping. Nuestra investigación hace una contribución teórica y empírica a la literatura sobre los mecanismos que moldean el compromiso afectivo de los estudiantes emprendedores, ya que investigaciones previas se ha centrado en los rasgos personales en lugar del entorno social. Como implicaciones prácticas, destacamos la importancia de brindar al ambiente universitario recursos como cursos, orientación y apoyo relacionados con las conductas emprendedoras, dotando así a los estudiantes emprendedores de las herramientas necesarias para el éxito y haciendo un llamado a la concienciación de las empresas familiares que quieren promover la continuidad de las conductas emprendedoras en sus próximas generaciones.

Karla Tamez Ramírez, Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica

Academic and researcher in topics related to the development of entrepreneurship, currently interested in the affective and contextual factors that influence the entrepreneurial commitment of students.  She is a business consultant and coordinates support projects for SMEs and entrepreneurs. She has contributed to entrepreneurial training programs by promoting skills that foster innovation, inclusion, and leadership in the new generations of professionals.
