Avances en la transformación digital de las MiPymes impulsadas por la pandemia COVID-19

Prior research has highlighted that technological adoption in organizations strengthens their competitiveness and market presence. Furthermore, it has been observed that environmental crises stimulate technology usage in companies. This study examines how SMEs adopted technology in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a mixed-method research approach, technological adoption data from over one hundred SMEs in Valle del Cauca, Colombia, were compared. The study was conducted in two phases: during the early months of the pandemic and after it. Finally, the Digital Maturity of the SMEs was assessed according to the Forrester 4.0 Model. The results revealed substantial progress in digital transformation within these companies, driven by the pandemic context.
