Abstract

Este artículo examina la relación entre la orientación emprendedora y el desempeño innovador tomando como variable mediadora la capacidad de aprendizaje organizativo. Esta cuestión de investigación es importante porque nos permite comprender mejor por qué la orientación emprendedora no afecta siempre de forma positiva a la cuenta de resultados. Consideramos que el desempeño innovador es una medida muy próxima al resultado general. Utilizando un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales en una muestra de 182 empresas de la industria cerámica, los resultados muestran que la capacidad de aprendizaje organizativo juega un rol fundamental en determinar los efectos de la orientación emprendedora en el desempeño innovador.
