Abstract

This study showcases the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as an effective tool for managing complex projects, particularly those involving academia, industry, and government collaboration, known as the triple helix model. By focusing on a case study of educational innovation in Colombia, it illustrates how AHP aids in making structured, multi-dimensional decisions amidst challenges such as high personnel turnover and diverse team composition. AHP's application proved crucial in selecting the right technological provider, facilitating a comprehensive evaluation of options against the project's goals. The findings highlight AHP's utility in enhancing interdisciplinary project management within triple helix frameworks, providing a robust quantitative method to tackle uncertainty and foster productive partnerships. This research enriches the project management theory, confirming AHP's adaptability and significance in facilitating decision-making and advancing collaborative efforts across varied stakeholders, thus emphasizing the importance of structured approaches in realizing strategic aims and bolstering collaboration.
