Abstract

Analizamos el efecto de la innovación sobre la productividad en la empresa manufacturera española. Así identificamos y justificamos los siguientes factores de innovación que determinan la productividad: actividades de investigación y desarrollo (I+D), gastos I+D, patentes, innovaciones de producto, innovaciones de proceso, organización interna de la innovación, externalización de las actividades de I+D, financiación pública de los gastos de I+D y colaboración exterior de la innovación. Las conclusiones de este trabajo basado en un análisis de regresión múltiple para el año 2010 a nivel de empresa, demuestran que las innovaciones de proceso y las actividades de I+D (especialmente en actividades internalizadas) están en mejores condiciones de favorecer la productividad de la empresa manufacturera española.

Pedro Sánchez-Sellero, Universidad de Zaragoza

Pedro Sánchez-Sellero is a Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration of the Universidad de Zaragoza. He is a Doctor in Business Administration since 2011. His papers are published in JCR, Scopus and In Recs journals such as International Business Review, Review of International Economics, Applied Economics, Revista de Administração de Empresas (forthcoming article), Revista Venezolana de Gerencia, Procedia Social and Behavioral Sciences, Journal of Technology Management & Innovation, Intangible Capital, Revista Galega de Economía and Estudios de Economía Aplicada. His areas of expertise are internationalization, productivity, foreign direct investment, spillovers, absorptive capacity, technology management and human resource management. His Doctoral Thesis achieved the Prize awarded by Spanish Royal Academy of Doctors for the best Spanish Doctoral Thesis in Legal and Economic Sciences in 2012. The prize was given in the Spanish Ministry of Education. He achieved the Prize Bernardo Pena 2013 awarded by the International Association of Applied Economics.

Mª Carmen Sánchez-Sellero, Universidad de La Coruña

Mª Carmen Sánchez-Sellero is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Applied Economics of the Universidad de La Coruña. She is a Doctor in Applied Economics since 2010. Her papers are published in JCR, Scopus and In Recs journals such as Revista de Ciencias Sociales, Revista de Administração de Empresas (forthcoming article), Revista Venezolana de Gerencia, Intangible Capital, Revista Galega de Economía and Estudios de Economía Aplicada. Her areas of expertise are labour market, human resource, gender, poverty, competitiveness and innovation. She achieved the Prize Bernardo Pena 2013 awarded by the International Association of Applied Economics.

Francisco Javier Sánchez-Sellero, Universidad de Vigo

Francisco Javier Sánchez-Sellero is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration of the Universidad de Vigo. He is a Doctor in Business Administration since 2006. María Montserrat Cruz-González, Universidad de Vigo

María Montserrat Cruz-González is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration of the Universidad de Vigo. She is a Doctor in Business Administration since 2008.
